Makeup Organizer

As mentioned on my “Nail Polish Organizer” post, I’m not one to purchase extra furniture pieces or plastic containers to organize my items. I find it to be absolutely cluttering. In this case, I’m all about working with the space that I have and reusing what I have around.

I’ve been subscribed to Birchbox for the past 2 years. For those of you who don’t know what Birchbox is, it’s a monthly subscription where you receive samples of beauty products from hair, skin, nails, and makeup for only $10 a month. Sometimes you’ll even receive chocolate goodies or snacks to taste. Yummy! It’s a great deal to test many products and if you find an item you really like, then you can always purchase the regular-sized version online.

Now, I absolutely love their boxes and find myself reusing them for Birthday or Christmas gifts. Did you know they make great organizers for makeup? I don’t know about you, but I like my items to be hidden, but yet reachable. Reusing these Birchbox boxes have been such a huge space saver and a great way to keep all of my beauty products organized and close to reach. If you have the space for it, you can also stack these boxes on top of each other to either slide or pull out. Placing tissue paper as the base also helps to keep these boxes stay clean.

This is one way that has worked out for me the past year. Each box can separate all of your mascaras, eye shadows, lip products, foundation, eye liners, etc. Again, it’s all about working with the space you have and reusing what you have around. Hope you find this tip helpful to organize your beauty products or inspire you to reuse any of your items in a different way. Let me know if you end up trying it out! =)
