Blue Spring Dress + Wide Gucci Belt

Hello my Lovelies,

I’ve really been excited for this post because after months of waiting, I was finally able to wear a dress. Despite it was pouring on this day, I needed a break from wearing pants. If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen my stories of a special “early birthday gift” that I purchased for myself. Hence, my birthday is in May, so clearly I couldn’t wait to reveal it.

It’s been a long year search for this wide belt in which I only received “sold out” responses from almost everything location I visited in San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, and New York. I couldn’t imagine this belt would only be available in Europe and wasn’t willing to explore that last option of booking such a long distance flight for this item alone. To my surprise (when things are meant to be, they will be), I came across it in my very own state and in my city, Portland.

I had seen the version with the pearls, but I had really wanted just the classic with the black band. When I saw it hanging on the wall, I couldn’t resist and had to try it on. To my not surprise, it was a size too small and immediately felt that I finally became so close, but only left so far again. The woman who assisted me searched in the system and was able to pull up the correct size. The catch, it was the only one left in the whole country.

So, clearly before I ever make a huge purchase, I tend to look at every angle and outweigh everything. Immediately I determined that a whole year search and saving a flight was worth the expense. Plus, this was the closest I would ever get to it and had to make it mine.

I am absolutely in love with it and couldn’t wait until my birthday to wear it. It paired really well with this loose fitted dress and accentuated the waist very nicely. A match made in heaven, in my opinion. The off the shoulder look on this dress added a really nice, and almost romantic detail to the look.

I’m looking forward to changing up my outfits with this wide belt and will look amazing with dresses, skirts, sweaters, and even over coats. It’s amazing how one accessory can change-up a whole look. This belt can be worn on the waist or hip. If you do get your hands on this, you will not regret it. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind piece that I will FOREVER have in my collection.

Side note: Who else has purchased the NEW Bobbi Brown crushed lipstick in Sazan Nude? Such a gorgeous color and wouldn’t have expected anything less since Sazan has been one of my favorite bloggers for years! It’s really the perfect shade of nude that fits any skin tone.

Much Love,

~ Erika
