2017 Holiday Party Outfit

Hello My Lovely Readers,

I’ve absolutely been loving the Holiday Season and cannot believe that Christmas is only a few days away. With this in mind, I know there will be Holiday Party’s taking place and often times we have a hard time figuring out what to wear.

I was really excited for our company holiday party as I will say it’s the first company holiday party I have ever been to. It’s amazing to work at a place which makes this a holiday tradition for everyone. Years past, the parties have been super dressy dressy, but this time around the attire called for “Nice Casual”. Now, I don’t know about you, but finding the middle ground between casual vs dressy can be quite tricky.

What helped me determine my outfit was to focus on the location the holiday party was going to be held at. Once you know the location and witness the atmosphere, then this will help to determine what your outfit should be. Location is key!

I wanted something comfortable, but still appropriate for the location as it was held at The Heathman Hotel in downtown Portland, OR. The food was catered through the hotel’s restaurant, Head Water. I’ve always known this place to be fancy and it’s a great restaurant to visit when you’re in the mood to dress up for dinner.

I received many compliments throughout the night about my outfit and after eating so much food, I still had plenty of room to spare without feeling like I was suffocating in an outfit. These super dark denim jeggings did just the trick to give me the “space” I needed with everything I consumed, and yet still held everything together.

If you’re stuck in the middle ground of having to choose an outfit between dressy and casual, then I hope this gives you an idea and inspires your creativity.

Mwa!
