My favorite thing to do whether it’s towards the end of the year or the beginning of a new one is to stock up on new planners. I’ve tested a few throughout the year and have comes across some favorites that achieve it’s purpose whether for work, blogging or personal expenses. I’ve listed my favorite planners of all time below.
I’m someone who is constantly writing things down. I’m what they call, an “Old Millennial” and sometimes writing things on paper helps me stay organized than writing within a digital planner. I rarely use my phone to jot down dates or to-do’s unless it’s an appointment or an upcoming event/dinner.
If you’re just getting started on searching for a new planner or are in dire need of a trying a different one, I hope the below helps you. I’ve showcased my ultimate favorite as well as a few alternatives that don’t require breaking the bank. If you have some favs of your own, please share with me.
SUGAR PAPER (7.5″ x 9.25″)
From a content creator perspective, this signature spiral planner is my absolutely favorite! I love the layout, the sections are thought out well, there are stickers for a touch of fun, pocket slot, it’s spiral and love me some good quotes! This literally has everything that I need to schedule my content out as well as plenty of space to write my notes and to do’s.
They also have other planners that aren’t spiral, so be sure to check them out. Also, they have their own section at Target if you don’t want to wait to receive your planner in the mail. They do stand by their quality and highly recommend.

GARTNER STUDIOS (9.13″ x 11.3″)
Believe it or not, HomeGoods, TJMaxx and Marshall’s carry amazing planners, especially for those who are on a budget. Normally, you can find them throughout the year, otherwise they bring them out closer to December. It’s my go-to spot to test out new planners and purchase at a really great price!
This planner in particular is similar to Sugar Paper with the exception it doesn’t have a storage pocket, but it does come with stickers. I love using this planner to schedule my blog content, but overall it’s a great planner to use, even for work. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a detailed layout.
Visit their website for additional planners or check out Amazon.
BLUE SKY (8.5″ x 11″ & 5″ x 8″)
If you’re looking for a planner to use specifically for work, you can’t go wrong with Blue Sky. You can find their planners at Target, but they are also available via Amazon as well. They have so many cute covers, more so when it’s in collaboration with someone as the cover designs will vary and sometimes I’ll add a sticker on the cover to personalize it even more (like this one from Portland Gear that represents my city and state).
It’s my second or third time purchasing their planners and can’t recommend them enough. It has a ton of space to write down my daily tasks and meetings. A very simple and straight forward layout which is exactly what I look for to keep track of my projects.
The mini version is perfect to note down my personal expenses and when bills are due. I think it’s so cute when brands offer both sizes. Perfect size to store away inside your bag or desk!
