New Year Habits for 2025

Happy New Year! It’s that time to share my New Year Habits for 2025. I will say, 2024 was the most stressful and exhausting year I’ve had in quite a while and clearly I was ready to get it over and done with.

People still ask me, “What are your New Year Resolutions?” or “What are your Goals for 2025?” Lately, I’ve adjusted the language to really reflect on the habits I want to tackle throughout the year. But working on the habits, however small or big, it will not only bring me closer to my goals, but also help me grow and become the best version of myself.

Share with me your New Year Habits for 2025. Let’s support each other and make each other accountable this year, shall we? May this new year be the best one yet!

New Year Habits for 2025

BE IN THE PRESENT

This is a lot harder than it sounds. I had a difficult time focusing on the present without having so much in my brain and constantly thinking about things in the back of my head. My body was there, but my mind was always elsewhere and mostly on things that shouldn’t have used up my time nor energy.

This year, I want to really focus in the moment. I don’t want to be distracted by things that can be saved for another time. Not only out of respect for others, but also out of respect for myself since ME time is so important.

It’s these precious moments that truly matter the most and I will never get back.

CONSISTENT WORKOUT ROUTINE

I was stretched thin throughout the year which lead me to feel exhausted, burnt out and overwhelmed. The result of this was placing my health on the back burner. All I wanted at the end of the day was to relax and sleep.

I became sick so many times throughout the year that I lost count. My immune system was at its lowest. Health should never be taken for granted and any small step is better than no step at all.

Maintaining a consistent routine will help me in the long-run. I want to feel strong and be the best version of myself. No more excuses!

DISTANCE MYSELF FROM WHAT NO LONGER SERVES ME

2024 reminded me of this and NOT by choice. Throughout the year and for various reasons, I was shown the true colors of people. It reminded me what my values are and what I stand for.

I distanced myself from those who weren’t aligned with my morals, values and ethics. If they couldn’t step up during the moments it truly mattered, then why keep them during the other times? Once you set your boundaries, it becomes easy to discard the people that suck the life out of you.

At some point, something’s got to give. At some point, certain cycles need to end. I refuse to lose myself.

BE OPEN TO NEW EXPERIENCES

One of the most beautiful things about life are the moments that surprise you. Whether it’s a trip, a drink or food that you had never tasted, I want to experience it all.

I want to try new restaurants, I want to hike and camp to places I’ve never been nor have been in a very long time, I want to travel and be open to what life has to offer.

It was these moments that made me happy throughout the year and want to continue this. I want to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone. It’s really all about the little things.

SLOW DOWN

Believe it or not, this was the hardest of them all. I found myself constantly busy and stressed out because of it. The hours would fly by and next I knew the days, weeks and months became a blur.

For the first time, I didn’t celebrate Halloween and so many of you know that it’s one of my favorite holidays ever! I found myself working until late at night.

I want to force myself to slow down so I don’t miss the important moments. I don’t want to lose myself in the chaos and rush of it all. But most of all, I want to breathe and enjoy the fresh air come rain or shine.

IN CONCLUSION

These are my New Year Habits for 2025. I wanted to create healthy habits that are attainable and reachable for not only the present, but can have a lasting impact for the future. Let’s wake up and carry our day with intention so we can live the most joyful and authentic life.
