Radiant Orchid

It’s said that for 2014, one of the hot colors of the year will be Radiant Orchid. I don’t doubt this because it’s such a beautiful color that can compliment any skin tone. Pair it with something gold/bronze and it’s a hit.

You don’t really need to do much with this color because it’s an attention grabber all on it’s own. And if you do, I would suggest to keep it simple with the accessories. Even just a statement necklace is all you would really need. How easy is that?

I am absolutely in love with this sweater that I recently purchased and more because the bronze is already incorporated down the sleeves. Talk about hitting two Birds with one Stone! Can I get a Wha Wha?!

These stretchy, gold antique colored, pants are absolutely comfortable. A few weeks ago I got really sick and couldn’t eat for a whole week. So, these pants definitely got baggier, but I still love them and honestly, I really prefer them this way. Keep in mind that if your pants ever get too big for you…don’t throw them away! You can always have them altered; or if it’s jeans, convert them into some comfortable, killer boyfriend jeans! There is always a solution so you don’t have to say goodbye to those favorite pair of pants.

I wanted to keep my hairstyle very simple, so I went for a bun instead so my long hair wouldn’t cover or distract away from the details of the sweater. Of course, either way is always good. I’m not usually a fan of anything relating to insects, but there was something about this piece that I got on one of my trips to Mexico, and felt that I had to have it. Maybe it was the wings because I love anything relating to wings.

Since it’s been pouring rain and the weather hasn’t decided yet what it wants to do, I thought this would be perfect to wear my cream, wool coat to keep me warm. And might I add…I literally SCREAMED for Joy when I saw Kerry Washington wearing my coat in the December 13’/January 14′ issue of Lucky Magazine. Another reason why I love this woman! Total Sista from another Mista!
